Finally … this day is here.  Hallelujah!!  I have been floundering in a state of perfection paralysis in writing this first blog post.   However, this morning the universe created the right circumstances (black screen of death on my desktop – leaving me unable to access my work computer) for this post to unfold at the perfect time.

First of all, I want to welcome you.  My wish for you is that I provide you the information, resources and assistance with your tax and financial questions, concerns, and dilemmas you are seeking in a compassionate manner.  I want to be of service, so if there is a specific question and/or topic you wish to be addressed, simply enter your name, email address and question here and I will add your topic to my editorial calendar!

As we approach the end of the year, people often as the question, ”

“Is there anything I can do before the end of the year to reduce my taxes for 2014?”

The answer is:

“Yes!  There are several things you can do to reduce your taxes for 2014.”

You can:

1)  Contribute additional funds to your retirement plan

2)  Contribute additional funds to your HSA

3)  Make charitable contributions you have been meaning to make (in the form of monetary contributions or donating “excess stuff” that others could use more than you)

4)  Making business purchases and capital goods/improvements in your business or your rental property

5)  Pay your property taxes

Of course, there are other tax strategies that you can implement too that are more complex in nature.  In the spirit of giving, I am pleased to offer 15-minute complimentary consultations!  You can schedule yours here:

The universe (as well as the IRS) rewards action, so if you were meaning to do any of these things, I urge you to do them now!  Just make sure the charitable organization of your choice has been verified at:

And may you have a very Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year!!
